Joannie has solid experience in project management, community engagement, and event planning. Her academic background in science is complemented by a deep connection to the environment and the arts. She is also a children’s author and illustrator in her spare time.
Passionate about picture books since childhood, she sees them as essential tools to spark imagination and support early childhood development. She was always moved by the beauty and emotional depth of illustrated books (like The Rainbow Fish). She firmly believes in the power of stories to awaken curiosity and nurture empathy. These days, as Outreach Coordinator, she enthusiastically leads the flagship project Sunshine & Storytime, hoping to reach as many children as possible and share the joy of reading… outdoors and under the sunshine! 🌞
