Did you know that March is National Nutrition Month? The month is celebrated throughout Canada to draw attention to the importance of making informed food choices and developing healthy eating habits. Food is nourishment, but it’s so much more. Food unites us. We hope these books get your kids talking and thinking about making healthy eating habits.

Presenting our book for the month of December, Stella, Queen of the Snow by Marie-Louise Gay. A world-renowned author and illustrator of children’s books, her books have been translated into more than 15 languages and are loved by children all over the world. Marie-Louise lives in Montreal. Her book, Stella, Queen of Snow, is about a girl named Stella and her younger brother, Sam, exploring a familiar landscape transformed by heavy snowfall. A Poppy is to Remember by Heather Patterson
Presenting our book for the month for November, “A Poppy is to Remember” by Heather Patterson. A former elementary school teacher and children’s book editor, Heather is a fiercely proud Canadian. How did the bright red poppy that we all wear in November become Canada’s symbol of honoring those who fought for our freedom on Remembrance Day? This book tells our little ones all about it.
